Z Construction Inc. has been in business in the Whatcom, Skagit, and Snohomish County area since 1982. Owned and operated by Perry and Karen Zender, Z Construction Inc. stands out among the Leaders of construction in the North Puget Sound area and their high rate of repeat and referral business results are proof.

Whatcom county native. Perry Zender began working in construction in the 70’s. He comes from a logging family that settled in Whatcom County in 1894 and from this background he learned the value of hard work and fairness. He has learned through the years how to work with clients dreams and their budget. Perry’s favorite part of this business is turning dreams into reality, “I’m very good at listening to the needs of the customer and mahing their dreams come in on budget!”  Perry stays involved in the projects from start to finish, getting to know the clients and what they want.

Perry’s wife. Karen Templeton-Zender is originally from Stan wood and comes from a well-established family with strong business ties in the Stanwood community. Karen grew up in the Mt. Vernon and Conway area then moved to Stanwood and graduated from Stanwood. Perry and Karen have been married since 1983 and have two sons. Chase, and Brandon. Karen works at Z Construction as well and oversees the accounting and bookkeeping department. She keeps her eagle eye on the expenses and makes sure everyone is happy at the end of a project. In their spare time the Zender’s enjoy all outdoor activities.

A second generation of Zender’s are now part of the Z Construction team. Chase and Brandon Zender will be bringing new ideas and creativity to Z Construction for years to come.
